Yves Rocher Waterproof Eye Pencils Vert and Turquoise - Swatch and Review

TGIF!

How was your week? I've missed blogging. It was good to take a break. The new changes and issues at work has often left me feeling pooped for the past few days. Still have some unresolved problems but at least some things are starting to settle down. I have a lot of catching up to do here. Hoping to get a lot of it done over the weekend.

I received these eyeliners as a bonus gift on my previous order with Yves Rocher, which is pretty neat because I was curious about them and now I can finally tell you what I think of them.

Packaging
  • Retractable mechanical pencil with a sharpener included.
  • .01 oz or .3 g
Product
  • Vert is a teal green color with a subtle green shimmer. This felt dry and a application was not very pleasant because it would drag and skip on the skin. The color pay off is good but because the formula is dry, I really hated using it on my eyes.
  • Turquoise is a very shimmery turquoise. It wasn't as stiff and as dry as Vert so the application wasn't too bad. I still wished it was just a little creamier but I'm ok with the formula.
  • These definitely won't smudge or smear easily when in contact with water. I have moderately oily lids and they last through most of the day with minor fading and smearing.

Final Thought

I didn't like the drier formula, which makes application a bit of a pain. The pigmentation and longevity is decent. Overall, these pencils are not too shabby but not the best either.

  1. Oh I love how well the first eyeliner complements your eye contacts! Very cool shades, though I don't think they'd go very well with my blue eyes :/ And AMEN to that TGIF!

    1. green is probably one of my favorite eyeliner color. Green and purple is always a nice combo I think :D. You should try a dark green. I think it might just work with your blue eyes.

    1. Yes, it's too bad they are not creamier and it's also too bad there are not that much review about the brand.

    1. The turquoise is very bright. I like that but I most likely won't wear it alone.
