L'Oreal LeGloss The Queen's Shine Swatch

Hello Lovely Readers,

I apologize for the short hiatus on my blog. September has been a very hectic and stressful month for me and I just needed to take a break to get my mind off things. I haven't really been inspired to blog but I try my best to post something new.

I was browsing Walgreens the other day to see if anything new popped up. I've been wanting to find those new Wet N Wild 8 eyeshadows palette but I haven't had any luck.

I took another look at the new L'Oreal Runway collection and this gloss was calling out to me. What attracted me about The Queen's Shine is the dark burgundy color and sparkling pink shimmers. I feel like it is a nice fall color and decided to get it.

One thing I enjoy about this gloss is the sweet delightful scent of butterscotch. It is actually a bit strong but at least it doesn't smell gross like playdoh. When I swatched it, I was a little disappointed that the color ended up being a lot lighter and brighter than I had hoped. What I thought was a deep burgundy ended up being fuchsia. The glitters are very small, sparse, and not noticeable on the lips.
Even though the gloss has a semi-sheer quality to it, it still pack a punch in terms of pigmentation.

Overall, I think it is a nice gloss. I just wished the color in the tube wouldn't be misleading. I certainly did not need another fuchsia gloss in my collection but if you wanted one, you might like this.

  1. I agree I was disappointed with this color too. It does come out like a fuschia color. I like to pair it with a dark purple lipstick like Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick 04. I blend it into my lips like a stain and together it gives a nice berry look. You can try that if you're not into the fuschia lip for fall. =)
