Nail Polishes, Glitters, and Nail Soakers

I ended up going to work today but got off around 1 pm so I had some time to kill. Well, I also needed to get some groceries. I needed to stop by the Asian market to get some rice and since the nail supply shop is right next to it, I had to make a round there, lol.

The sad thing is they didn't have any new polishes so I only picked two.

  • Color Club Alter Ego may not look like anything in the bottle but from the swatches I've googled, it looks pretty stunning on the nails. It's a dark greyish purple with sparkling gold and pink shimmers.

  • Color Club Fashion Addict. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick this up last time I was there but I decided to get it this time. It's a holographic light lavender polish. I don't know if it's just me but I notice this one seems to have a lot more holo effect as compared to the other Color Club holographic polishes that I picked up.

  • The nail soakers have got to be one of the most exciting part of this haul. I was not even aware that these little guys existed but as I was looking around I happen to spot them on the shelf. For anyone out there who knows what a pain in the butt it is to remove glitter polishes well, this will be a very nice solution to the problem. What you do is take a little piece of cotton, soak it in acetone, and put it inside these soakers and insert your finger like pictured. This will allow the nail polish and glitters to dissolve. This is so much better than using aluminum foil! This package contains 10 soakers so you can use them on all your nails. Woo hoo! I'm so thrilled to find these. They were only $4.00.

  • I was pretty much done and ready to pay BUT I spyed some glitters behind the counter, lol, and asked to see them. And they showed me so many glitters!!! I ended up getting the small jars cause I don't know how often I'll go through them. They were $1.50 each. Which is still pretty cheap, although I'm sure they must have paid only pennies for them.

So that's it for my haul. I spent less than $20 for all these.

Have you ever used these soakers or were as clueless about their existence as I was?

  1. Ohhh those glitters are so beautiful! I really want Fashion Addict, it's such a nice colour. I'd be interested to know how those nail soakers work :)
