Haul - Philosophy, theBalm, and OPI

I went to TJ Maxx a couple days ago so see if I can find more holiday goodies. I found The Shady Lady palette Volume 1 from theBalm for $12.99!! It normally retails for $39.50. Huge saving here! One small problem is that it appeared someone had swatched a couple of the eyeshadows. I decided to get it anyway, considering the price and that the palette was still in good condition. I did clean the swatched eyeshadows with alcohol so they should be safe to use.

Another item that caugh my eyes at TJ was this nail polish set from OPI, Serena Glam Slam. The left polish reminds me of a lighter version of Warm & Fozzie. These two make a gorgeous nail look. I will have to do a swatch for you. I got this set for $7.99. Not bad considering one single OPI polish retails for $8.00.

A couple weeks ago, Hautelook was having a sale for theBalm and a few of their products were marked down to 50% off so I quickly purchased the Nude'tude palette, just because I thought it was cute and I liked the colors and the discount was pretty good. The palette was sold for $18.00, plus $4.95 for shipping. The packaging is sleek with fun designs. This palette normally retails for $36.00.

I want to do a special shout out to my follower, Cynthia, for helping me with this Sephora haul. She had messaged me a last week that she won't be able to use her Sephora gift card and would like to pass the saving on to me. I was thrilled, not at the fact that I get to buy more stuff, lol, but that she thought of me. That was super sweet of her. I will be sending her a little surprise present tomorrow :). Thank you so much Cynthia!

On to my haul...I ordered
  • Sephora Makeup Remover, $8.50. I hope this works as good as the waterproof formula. I suppose I could do a comparison, if you care to find out.
  • Philosophy Field of Flowers shower gel, $16.00. This smells just like a bouquet of flowers!
  • Philosphy Caramel Apple (limited edition), $16.00. OMG, I love the scent of this one, it smells sweet and delicious! I'm so tempted to eat it, lol. I've been really loving the Philosophy holiday soaps, they smell amazing! Really, you should check them out. I think the price is pretty reasonable for a huge 16 oz bottle.
  • Philosophy Gingerbread Girl Shower Gel and lotion set, $15.00. It comes with this adorable sturdy box that can be reused.

When I unpacked my Sephora goodies, I realized that one of the Philosophy soap spilled in the box. The reason for that is because there was a pretty huge crack at the neck. I must say that for whatever reason, the items that I received in this order was poorly packaged, thus why this happened. Funny thing is when I showed my daughter my broken bottle of soap she was like "oooh so that's where the smell was coming from. I thought you received some flowers" LOL. I've never had anything broken before. I guess the UPS guys must be pretty rough too in spite of the fact that "FRAGILE" was written in bold on the box.

Ohhh well, that means I get to go to Sephora to exchange this soap. And I probably will exchange it with a different scent. I've really been liking the limited edition ones cause they smell so delicious.

This conclude my haul for now. I have to do more shopping this weekend. Hopefully, I can focus on getting thing for others :p
How's your Christmas shopping coming along? Are you all done yet? Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already.

  1. I recently got that palette from TJ Maxx as well. Swatching happens at TJ Maxx but we got lucky. There was another palette and an eyeshadow was nearly gone!
